Rebellion will it explode or will be quelled?

Eknath Shinde was driving an autorickshaw in Thane and Gulabaro Patil was a pan vendor in Paldhi village of Jalgaon. Ramdas Kadam was a driver of former MLA Keshavrao Bhosle. There are plenty of such people whose life was transformed by Shiv Sena Chief Balasaheb Thackeray by making them the prince from a pauper.

The Shiv Sena patriarch got them and their relatives elected in the elections multiple times. As the proverbial saying ‘power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely’, these leaders became arrogant and proud. They amassed black money in crores. The shrewd Devendra Fadnavis picked up this thread.

 Using Eknath Shinde’s contacts and information, Fadnavis entangled such leaders in the ED dragnet. Basically, Shinde’s closeness to Fadnavis was commonly discussed. That is the reason Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray never allowed Shinde to get too close to him. Thackeray was aware that Shinde can backstab at any time. He was also aware of his style of functioning. But he was not aware that he would be so emboldened with Fadnavis’s support.

︎ Fadnavis is the peak of the iceberg in politics. He appears one-fourth on the surface. However, the remainder three-fourths is an extension of his cunningness. Although aware of Fadnavis’s tactics, Thackeray was not cautious and Fadnvis took advantage of this situation.

︎ Fadnvis succeeded in his game plan to some extent. Over half of the MLAs were scared of ED action, while others were given an allurement of Rs 50 crore each, the Special Investigation of Sprouts has learned reliably.

 Now due to this rebellion, seasoned politician NCP Chief Sharad Pawar and CM Uddhav Thackeray have entered the fray. So it is interesting to watch whether the rebellion explodes or is quelled.

︎ Fadnavis was waiting for the right opportunity for the last two and half years. However, the prey was out of the range of the hunter. Shinde too was scared in making any move. The frustrated Fadnavis whipped out a weapon in the form of ED. The ED sent a notice to Shinde’s confidante Sachin Joshi and Shinde was hurt. Because like a proverbial parrot carrying somebody’s soul, Shinde’s soul lay in Sachin Joshi. As such, the scared Shinde speedily pulled the string and became the leader of “Operation Lotus”.
