Little in state coffers, much in BJP leaders’ pockets

It is common knowledge that the Central agencies like ED, CBI dance to the tune of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The Opposition alleges that the rampant raids go on and a meager amount is deposited in state coffers while several times more money is pocketed by BJP agents, after the raids.
The raids are conducted on those who oppose the BJP. As if collecting money from business people and making them join the BJP is the main task of the ED. The crores of rupees are collected through this clandestine work and the money collected is used for contesting elections and toppling the governments by paying heavy gratification to the elected representatives.
No information is being provided about the notices served by ED in the Modi and Shah regimes. This information is not provided even in response to RTI queries. In fact, this information should be made available on ED’s website. However, the Central Government has been suppressing this information for a long time.
The misuse of Central agencies by the officers like Jitendra Navlani to collect crores of rupees on behalf of the BJP was made by the Shiv Sena leaders. In response, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey set up the Special Investigation Team (SIT). Those involved in fake raids were to be booked by the SIT. However, before the SIT could function, the MVA Government was toppled and an unconstitutional Shinde-BJP Government was formed. Within a few hours, the inquiry was suspended and Pandey was arrested by the ED for the NSE scam.
To outwit Central agencies, the MVA too used the police and State Women’s Commission. An insignificant Marathi actress was made to languish in jail for 40 days for sharing a post on social media. An unholy trend of a tit-for-tat using Government agencies has set in Indian politics.
Earlier the Congress too had misused the Central investigating agencies and had collected crores of rupees. The party had digested all such deeds. That is the reason the public voted Narendra Modi to power.
However, the Modi-Shah combine is engaged in massive misuse of government agencies and has been involved in corruption, much more than what the Congress did in its 60 years long rule. The Modi-Shah combine has written off the piousness of the BJP long back and has converted the BJP into another Congress.
No one is born with the shield of power. Tomorrow even the Opposition can occupy the seat of power. However, to stage manage the incidents like the Pulwama attack, to organizing dissensions of 40-50 MLAs by bribing them to capture power, on the eve of elections is a dangerous trend in cultured Indian democracy. In the future, the Opponents can get involved in ignominious activities to degenerate the democracy further.
