The D. Y. Patil University runs the School of Ayurveda in Navi Mumbai. Mahesh Kumar Harit has been working as a Dean of this college and has been imparting coaching in Ayurved to hundreds of students for several years although he himself is a fake doctor.

The certificates of Harit, right from SSC to Medical degree are bogus, the Sprouts’ Investigation Team has learnt reliably through RTI.

The Sprouts had published a series of reports about Harit’s bogus certificates in the last few months. Many complaints were lodged about this corrupt affair.

Now the University Grant Commission (UGC) has taken cognizance of these complaints and has directed D. Y. Patil University to take action against Harit, the alleged Dean of the College of Ayurveda. As such the college is in a fix.

Dr. Dilip Wange, the Registrar of the Maharashtra Council of Indian Medicine (MCIM), a Government institute, offered registration and its renewal from time to time to Harit. The Sprouts had published many news reports about this. However, no action was taken against Dr. Wange.

The Sprouts has always exposed corrupt practices of MCIM from time to time. Dr. Wange has “money relations” with higher-ups in Raj Bhavan. Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari enthusiastically organizes social functions in Raj Bhavan, without verifying the credentials of the people entering Raj Bhavan. He has been hardly involved in solving problems related to universities in Maharashtra and has also not solved the problems faced by the students.

Raj Bhavan Secretary Ulhas Munagekar takes disadvantage of Koshyari’s lack of interest in routine activities. He has been occupying his chair indulging in corrupt means. He has the blessings of Koshyari. That is the reason even Dr. Dilip Wange has been occupying the position of the Registrar for the last 15 years and has been collecting crores of rupees through illegal activities.
