100 crore claim on ‘Sprouts’

Foodlink F&B Holdings, a private limited company, has been awarded the sub-contract of ‘Yashobhumi’, a dream project of the Central Government of India. This subcontract is worth hundreds of crores. This company is presently being investigated for committing financial fraud where it was found to evade taxes which were due to the government of India account.
An employee of the company, who handles the financial affairs of the prime accused and director Sanjay Manohar Vazirani is arrested and presently lodged in Taloja jail.
During the investigation, he admitted that he had sent hundreds of crores through ‘Hawala’ to foreign countries which is also a serious offence under the money laundering act of our country.
Mahesh Patil, an employee of this company, residing at Kamothe in Navi Mumbai, was arrested by the GST Intelligence Department on December 12th. He has been given 14 days judicial custody. Patil is considered to be the right-hand man of the Vazirani. Under the guidance and directions of Vazirani, he managed illegal financial transactions worth crores of rupees.
Patil was brought before the Judicial Magistrate Court in CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai. The journalists of ‘Sprouts’ were present at that time when the discussion of the case was made in open court. So more information is available.
The GST intelligence department informed the court in the discussion that this company had evasion of about 100 crores and investigation is still going on and the amount may go up.
Vazirani and his company have numerous bank accounts and these are used to park illegal cash which is hidden from GST as well as Income tax departments. In fact, Very few of these accounts are in the knowledge of these departments, and very smartly with the help of private CAs Sanjay Vazirani was able to hide these transactions.
It is suspected many more private persons are involved in hiding and managing these accounts. The financial transactions in this account are worth crores of rupees and all of them are suspicious. It was in these accounts that Patil used to deposit illegally obtained black money.
Patil has confessed to the crime in the court in front of the Judge. Patil has admitted that all these transactions were done by him on the instructions of Vazirani and other top officials of the company, the role of all top officials is under scanner for investigation.
Patil is likely to be interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) soon. Not only this, Sanjay Manohar Vazirani is also likely to be arrested if he does not cooperate with the investigation.
What is the matter?
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to set up Asia’s largest exhibition and convention center in Delhi. The name of this center is India International Convention and Expo Center (IICC) ‘Yashbhoomi’. Its first phase has been inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently. As much as Rs 5400 crore has been spent to build this first phase.
At present, the contract for the entire work of ‘Yashbhoomi’ has been awarded to KINEXIN Convention Management Private Limited, a company in Korea. The director Sanjay Manohar Vazirani was lobbying hard for this Kurian company to get the catering subcontract to ‘Foodlink F&B Holdings’, a private limited company.
Vazirani’s company has so far served catering facilities in functions related to the marriage of Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal, Aakash Ambani and Shloka Mehta, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, and many other high profiles as also claimed on his website. Apart from this, catering-related services were also provided at the G20 summit recently held in Delhi, the Men’s World Cup 2023, and IPL 2023 which has been claimed by Sanjay Vazirani.
Vazirani is an expert in lobbying for such works. But the first time his illegal transactions of hundreds of crores have been caught and are now in the knowledge of Indian courts. In view of the facts which can be damaging to the country’s reputation the said company should not be given the contract of ‘Yashbhoomi’ by the central government, a request was made on behalf of ‘Sprouts’ to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the company KINEXIN Convention Management Private Limited in this aspect.
The news regarding this was also published in ‘Sprouts’ on 20th October 2023. A copy of this news was sent to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the CEO of ‘KINEXIN’. Not only that but KINEXIN was also requested to respond to this next follow-up news to ‘Sprouts’. The company has not yet responded to this. But the same mail was forwarded by the company to Sanjay Vazirani, Vazirani stated in the notice sent to ‘Sprouts’.
After receiving this mail forwarded by KINEXIN, Fraud, and corrupt Vazirani said that the news was false and sent a legal notice. He then approached the Mumbai High Court. A claim of Rs 100 crore has also been filed against the editor of ‘Sprouts’, Unmesh Gujarathi. He has also paid the required amount of lakhs of rupees through stamp papers.
This is a desperate attempt to suppress the sound of ‘Sprouts’. This company is doing illegal work and its owner Sanjay Manohar Vazirani is a fraud, so ‘Sprouts’ has demanded that legal action be taken against this company.

भारतातील केंद्र सरकारच्या ड्रीम प्रोजेक्ट असलेल्या ‘यशॊभूमी’चे उपकंत्राट हे ‘Foodlink F&B Holdings या प्रायव्हेट लिमिटेड कंपनीला मिळालेले आहे. हे उपकंत्राट कोट्यवधी रुपयांचे आहे. या कंपनीने मोठ्या प्रमाणात आर्थिक घोटाळे केलेले आहेत. इतकेच नव्हे तर सरकारचा कोट्यवधी रुपयांचा टॅक्सही बुडवलेला आहे, अशी खळबळजनक माहिती ‘स्प्राऊट्स’च्या स्पेशल इन्व्हेस्टीगेशन टीमला (SIT) मिळालेली आहे.
याप्रकरणातील मुख्य आरोपी व कंपनीचा संचालक संजय मनोहर वझिरानी याचे आर्थिक व्यवहार सांभाळणाऱ्या कर्मचाऱ्याला अटक करण्यात आलेली आहे. तपासादरम्यान त्याने ५०० कोटी रुपयांहून अधिक रक्कम ही ‘हवाला’मार्फत पाठविल्याची कबुलीही दिलेली आहे.
नवी मुंबईतील कामोठे येथे राहणाऱ्या महेश पाटील, या कंपनीच्या कर्मचाऱ्याला GST इंटेलिजन्स विभागाने १२ डिसेंबर रोजी अटक केलेली आहे. त्याला १४ दिवसांची ज्युडिशिअल कस्टडीही देण्यात आलेली आहे. सध्या हा तळोजा येथील जेलमध्ये आहे.
पाटील हा वझिरानी याचा उजवा हात मानला जात असे. वझिरानी यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली त्याचे कोट्यवधी रुपयांचे बेकायदेशीर आर्थिक व्यवहार सांभाळत असे. इतकेच नव्हे तर भारतातील कोट्यवधी रुपयांची रोख रक्कम व परदेशी करन्सी ‘हवाला’मार्फत पाठविण्याचे कामही तो करत असे.
नवी मुंबईच्या सीबीडी- बेलापूर येथील ज्युडिशिअल मॅजिस्ट्रेट कोर्टात पाटील याला आणण्यात आलेले होते. त्यावेळी ‘स्प्राऊट्स’चे पत्रकार हजर होते. त्यामुळे अधिक माहिती मिळालेली आहे.
वझिरानी व त्याच्या कंपनीची ३५ हून अधिक बँक खाती आहेत. त्यातील २ ते ३ वगळता इतर खाती ही undecleared आहेत. या खात्यातील आर्थिक व्यवहार हे कोट्यवधी रुपयांचे आहेत व ते सर्वच संशयास्पद आहेत. या खात्यातच पाटील हा नियमबाह्य पद्धतीने मिळवलेला काळा पैसे डिपॉझिट करत असे.
न्यायालयात पाटील याने गुन्हा कबूल केलेला आहे. त्यासंबंधीच्या रिमांड अप्लिकेशनमध्ये नमूद केलेले आहे की, त्याने ५०० कोटी रुपयांचे आर्थिक व्यवहार हे ‘हवाला’मार्फत केलेले आहेत. हे सर्व व्यवहार पाटील हा वझिरानी यांच्या सूचनेनुसार करत असे, असे पाटील याने कबूल केलेले आहे. यामध्ये वझिरानी व त्याच्या कंपनीने सरकारचा जवळपास १०० कोटी रुपयांचा टॅक्स बुडवलेला आहे, हेही उघडकीस आलेले आहे.
पाटील याची लवकरच अंमलबजावणी संचालनालय म्हणजेच ‘इडी’मार्फत चौकशी होण्याची शक्यता आहे. इतकेच नव्हे तर संजय मनोहर वझिरानी याने तपासात सहकार्य न केल्यास त्यालाही अटक होण्याची शक्यता आहे.
काय आहे प्रकरण?
भारताचे पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी दिल्ली येथे आशियातील सर्वात मोठे प्रदर्शन व अधिवेशन केंद्र उभारण्याचे ठरविले आहे. या केंद्राचे नाव इंडिया इंटरनॅशनल कन्व्हेन्शन आणि एक्स्पो सेंटर (IICC) ‘यशॊभूमी’ (Yashobhumi) आहे. त्याच्या पहिल्या टप्प्याचे उद्घाटन पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी नुकतेच केले आहे. हा पहिला टप्पा बांधण्यासाठी तब्बल ५४०० कोटी रुपयांचा खर्च करण्यात आलेला आहे.
सध्या ‘यशॊभूमी’च्या संपूर्ण कामाचे कंत्राट हे KINEXIN Convention Mangement Private Limited या कोरिया देशातील कंपनीला मिळालेले आहे. (भारतीय कंपनीला नाही)
या कुरियन कंपनीने केटरिंगचे subcontract हे ‘Foodlink F&B Holdings’ या प्रायव्हेट लिमिटेड कंपनीला दिलेले आहे. हे उपकंत्राट मिळावे, यासाठी संचालक संजय मनोहर वझिरानी ( Sanjay Manohar Vazirani) जोरदार लॉबिंग करत होते, त्यात त्यांना यशही मिळलेले आहे.
संजय वझिरानी यांच्या या कंपनीने आतापर्यंत इशा अंबानी व आनंद पिरामल (Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal), आकाश अंबानी व श्लोका मेहता ( Aakash Ambani and Shloka Mehta), रणवीर सिंग आणि दीपिका पदुकोण (Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone) या व इतर अनेक हाय प्रोफाइल लोकांना केटरिंगची सुविधा पुरवलेली आहे. याशिवाय G20 summit in Delhi, Men’s world Cup 2023, IPL 2023 येथेही केटरिंगसंदर्भातील सेवा पुरवलेली आहे.
संजय वझिरानी हा इसम अशा प्रकारच्या कामांसाठी लॉबिंग करण्यात तरबेज आहे. मात्र हा इसम सपशेल फ्रॉड व टॅक्स बुडवणारा आहे. सरकारचा कोट्यवधी रुपयांचा कर चुकवल्याबद्दल हा GST Intelligence Department च्या रडारवर आहे, त्यामुळे त्याला केंद्र सरकारच्या ‘यशॊभूमी’चे कंत्राट देण्यात येऊ नये, अशी विनंती ‘स्प्राऊट्स’च्यावतीने पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी व KINEXIN Convention Mangement Private Limited या कंपनीला करण्यात आलेली होती, मात्र तरीही केटरिंगसंदर्भातील कोट्यवधी रुपयांचे कंत्राट हे या कंपनीला देण्यात आले.
यासंदर्भातील बातमीही दिनांक २० ऑक्टोबर २०२३ रोजी ‘स्प्राऊट्स’मध्ये प्रसिद्ध करण्यात आलेली आहे. या बातमीचे कात्रण पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी व ‘KINEXIN’च्या मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी यांना पाठविण्यात आलेले होते. इतकेच नव्हे तर ‘स्प्राऊट्स’ला यापुढील बातमीच्या फॉलोअपसाठी प्रतिकिया देण्याची KINEXIN ला विनंती करण्यात आलेली होती. यावर कंपनीने अद्याप कोणतीही प्रतिक्रिया दिलेली नाही. मात्र हाच मेल कंपनीने संजय वझिरानी यांना फ़ॉरवर्ड केलेला होता, असे वझिरानी यांनी स्प्राऊट्सला पाठविलेल्या नोटीसमध्ये नमूद केलेले आहे.
KINEXIN ने फॉरवर्ड केलेला हा मेल मिळाल्यानंतर फ्रॉड व महाभ्रष्ट वझिरानी यांनी ही बातमी चक्क खोटी आहे, असा कांगावा केला, कायदेशीर नोटीसही पाठवली. त्यानंतर त्यांनी मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयात धाव घेतली. ‘स्प्राऊट्स’चे संपादक उन्मेष गुजराथी यांच्यावर १०० कोटी रुपयांचा दावाही ठोकलेला आहे. त्यासंबंधी लागणारी लाखो रुपयांची रक्कमही त्यांनी स्टॅम्पपेपरद्वारे भरलेली आहे.
‘स्प्राऊट्स’चा आवाज दाबण्याचा हा केविलवाणा प्रयत्न आहे. वास्तविक ही कंपनी नियमबाह्य काम करणारी आहे व त्याचे मालक संजय वझिरानी हा फ्रॉड आहे, त्यामुळे या कंपनीवरच कायदेशीर कारवाई करण्यात यावी, अशी मागणी ‘स्प्राऊट्स’ने केलेली आहे.
