As written in Sprouts on June 18- “ Fadnavis Hai to Mumkin Hai ” (It is possible if Fadnavis is around) Fadnavis proved his mettle in the election to the Maharashtra Legislative Council (MLC) by winning the fifth seat for the BJP.

Fadnavis has dash, drive, diplomacy, shrewdness and political maturity. In fact, Fadnavis is considered the Amit Shah of Maharashtra. Earlier he was sworn in as the chief minister with NCP leader Ajit Pawar early in the morning. However that Government collapsed soon. To avoid that mistake, now Fadnavis is moving with utmost precaution.

Going by the present movements of Fadnavis and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, one thing is sure the Thackeray Govt in Maharashtra will collapse and with the help of rebels, the BJP will form the Government. Fadnavis will become the CM and Shinde, the Deputy Chief Minister. However, if the mid-term polls are announced or if these rebel MLAs face elections after completing a 2 and half years term, they are unlikely to be re-elected easily.

The combination of Thane and Shiv Sena is unbreakable even today. Thane Shiv Sainiks are devoted to the Shiv Sena and Guardian minister Eknath Shinde. But they certainly will not revere the ‘traitor’ (gaddar) Eknath Shinde. As such not only the rebel Shiv Sena MLAs, but even Eknath Shinde or his son will not be get elected again in Thane. This is the reality.

The BJP-led Union Government engaged Central agencies to inquire into the benami properties worth crores of rupees of the BMC Standing Committee Chairman Yashwant Jadhav. The Income Tax department made the life of Jadhav miserable by raiding his residence and office. The BJP played this game on the eve of the BMC elections. To avoid the arrest and to get his benami property laundered, Jadhav, his MLA wife Yamini Jadhav and his son are planning to join the BJP soon. Sprouts had published this news in its issue of  June 18.

Shiv Sena leaders did not pay any attention to this news. Shinde proceeded to Surat along with other MLAs on Monday night. They are in Guwahati now. However, no Shiv Sena leader came forward to inquire about Jadhav. Eventually, Yamini Jadhav left for Surat on Tuesday afternoon.

Shinde’s cavalcade left for Surat by road at 10.30 pm on Monday. There was a police escort with them. It was surprising how the state home department had no indication about the tour. Or whether the NCP tacitly supported his move? This question is shrouded in mystery.
